The Birkenheide is a prominent mountain in Rennsteig close in the hallway of the town of Bad Liebenstein in the Thuringian Forest . The birch heather has a height of 717.3  m above sea level. HN .

On the Rennsteig you come closest to the mountain at the forest locations Vogelheide and Großer Meilerstätte . The Goldborn and Finsterbach spring rises on the Birkenheide .
