Paolo Schianchi

Paolo Schianchi (born January 22, 1966 in Parma ) is an Italian architect and designer .

Paolo Schianchi works as a lecturer at the Milan Polytechnic and is one of the representatives and theorists of visual marketing , a field that studies the relationship between image and product, or between the object and its representation.

biography

After graduating in architecture and studying aesthetics , he began research on visual marketing at the end of the nineties, which was deepened and expanded over the following decade: the focus of his thought is the theoretical treatment of the inseparability between the object and the image, which represents the object. In the numerous and continuous exhibition experiences (for example with the fair in Padua PadovaFiere ) he showed how the object can assume the identity of the environment in which it is inserted and at the same time he has proven the inseparability between these two factors.

It publishes the annual publications for the Gruppo 24 ORE - Gruppo 24 Ore Business Media publishing group, dedicated to studying the new developments of the object in relation to its image.
As a planner and art director , he works with Italian and international companies ( Runtal Zehnder , Magma , Disegno Ceramica , Il Marmo ). One of his objects is on the list of the prestigious Compasso d'Oro 2011 design prize . He also organizes exhibitions on design with a special focus on the new Japanese cultural movements (e.g. kawaii ). On the occasion of the Milan Furniture Fair 2011 (Salone del Mobile) , in collaboration with the Japanese Consulate in Milan, the Italian Consulate in Osaka , the Center for Japanese Culture in Milan and the Kyōto Chamber of Commerce, he organized the exhibition "La filosofia dell'acqua. Il design italiano incontra l'artigiano giapponese " (The philosophy of water. Italian design meets Japanese craftsmanship), which was also shown in Padua in October 2011. He was the director of various magazines ( Archaedilia by Faenza Editrice, Ce International Superfici In & Out for Il Sole 24 Ore Business Media) and has been the director of the international portal Floornature since 2010.In addition to his teaching position at the Milan Polytechnic, he is a professor in the Integrated Communication and Design course at IUSVE (Institute of the Pontifical University of the Salesians of Venice) in Mestre and regularly holds seminars at other universities and private institutions in Italy and abroad.
