history

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the Stadtlauringen market.

General

In the center of the village, the so-called " judicial linden tree " stands out next to the Catholic Church of St. Michael .

Birnfeld Castle is now a retirement home with a care facility.

Between Birnfeld and the neighboring village Wetzhausen is Castle Craheim , the youngest castle in Bavaria, now a Christian community center.
