The Diocese of Ganzhou ( Latin : Dioecesis Canceuvensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Ganzhou in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Benedict XV founded the Apostolic Vicariate Kanchow on August 25, 1920 from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate South Jiangxi .

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946. The patriotic Bishop Chen Duqing not recognized by the Holy See, who died in 1990, was one of the first Chinese bishops without permission in 1957 Rome was consecrated.
