The Bistum Konongo-Mampong ( lat. : Dioecesis Konongensis-Mamponganus ) is an in Ghana preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Mampong .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it on March 3, 1995 from cession of territory by the dioceses of Kumasi and Sunyani and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cape Coast as a suffragan diocese. The diocese of Konongo-Mampong was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Kumasi as a suffragan on January 17, 2002 .

On December 28, 2007 it lost part of its territory in favor of the establishment of the Techiman diocese . The local ordinary has been Joseph Osei-Bonsu since it was founded .
