The Diocese of Parañaque ( lat. : Dioecesis Paranaquensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Parañaque . It includes the cities of Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa on Metro Manila .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it on December 7, 2002 with the Apostolic Constitution Ad efficacius providendum from the cession of territory from the Archdiocese of Manila , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese. The local ordinary has been Jesse Eugenio Mercado since it was founded .
