Diocese of Rieux
The diocese of Rieux ( lat. : Dioecesis Rivensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Rieux-Volvestre .
history
The diocese of Rieux was on July 11, 1317 by Pope John XXII. Erected with the Papal Bull Salvator noster from cession of territory of the diocese of Pamiers . The first bishop was Guillaume de Broce . The diocese of Rieux was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Toulouse as a suffragan .
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Rieux was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Archdiocese of Toulouse .
