Diocese of Uzès
The diocese of Uzes ( lat. : Dioecesis Uticensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Uzes .
history
The diocese of Uzès was established in the 5th century. The first bishop was Constantine . The diocese of Uzès was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Narbonne as a suffragan . In 1736 the diocese of Uzès comprised 180 parishes .
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Uzès was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Archdiocese of Avignon .
