The diocese Weixian ( lat. : Dioecesis Iomnieninus ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Handan .
history
The diocese Weixian was on May 24th 1929 by Pope Pius XI established from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Xianxian as Apostolic Prefecture Weixian . The Apostolic Prefecture Weixian was on March 6, 1933 by Pius XI. raised to the apostolic vicariate .
The Apostolic Vicariate Weixian was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Beijing as a suffragan .
