The Bivacco Biagio Musso is located at 3663 m above sea level. M. on the slopes of the Grand Combin in the commune of Bourg-Saint-Pierre in the Swiss canton of Valais and is owned by the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI), Chivasso section .

The bivouac is located on a rocky ridge of the Plateau du Couloir under the Grand Combin du Valsorey.
history
It was built on a private initiative in 1977 in memory of the alpinist and mayor of Foglizzo Biagio Musso who died on the French side of Mont Blanc in 1975 and inaugurated in 1978. Renovations were carried out in 1991 and 2015. The bivouac has belonged to the CAI since 1998, which has entrusted it to the Chivasso Section, to which the Foglizzo sub-section belongs.
Access
- The bivouac can be reached in around three hours from the Franco Chiarella hut ( 2979 m above sea level ). From the Franco Chiarella refuge you have to go up to the Col d'Amiante ( 3307 m above sea level ), then cross the Mont Durand glacier to get to the Col du Sonadon ( 3503 m above sea level ) and finally climb up to the rock shoulder where the bivouac is located.
- From the Valsoreyhütte ( 3030 m above sea level ) in about two hours. The route leads over the Glacier de Meitin .
