In the 2000/01 season he was able to increase his performance significantly and landed after the season with 101 points in 87th place in the overall standings. Also in the 2001/02 season he started again in the B series, but could only rarely jump to the front seats.
At the Ski Flying World Championships in Harrachov in 2002 , he landed in 35th place. After he only started in Braunlage in the 2002/03 season and remained without any points, he finally made his debut at the end of his career on March 22, 2003 with ski flying in Planica in the ski jumping world cup . He was eliminated after round one and was 48 at the end. In team flying, he had already reached fifth place with the team.
