The Black Beck is a river in the Lake District in Cumbria in England .
The Black Beck arises north of the town of Hawkshead from the confluence of Hall Beck and Thurs Gill . The river flows south past Hawkshead to the east to its confluence with the north end of Esthwaite Water .
