Black Hole in Alton Towers ( Alton , Staffordshire , UK ) was a roller coaster on the model Jet Star II the manufacturer Schwarzkopf , who in 1983 was opened. In 1988 the railway ran under the name New Black Hole and from 1989 under the name Black Hole II . Only then was it renamed back to its original name Black Hole . It made its last laps on March 5, 2005 and from 2007 it was then dismantled.

Usually, coupled trains are not supported by the Jet Star 2 roller coasters. In 1988 the railway was modified by the BHS company so that coupled trains can be used.

After the first year of operation, the track was reassembled under a large yellow and green tent.

In the meantime, the lift was on the premises of the Gerstlauer Amusement Rides company , where it was restored. Since May 21, 2011 it has been back in operation as a rocket in Furuvik Park, Sweden .
