history

The association was founded in 1929. The first team missed promotion to the district class in 1947 after a deciding defeat against Hövelhofer SV . This was made up a year later, before it went back down to the district class in 1951. After further promotions in 1961 and 1966, the team held one or two years in the league. Only after the rise in 1984 the blue-whites were able to establish themselves in the league and reached 1985 and 1986 runner-up championships behind the Delbrücker SC and Rot-Weiß Mastholte . In the 1993/94 season, the team was immediately fourth due to the better goal difference compared to SC Südlohn .

Due to the introduction of the Regionalliga West / Südwest there was an increased promotion that season. In the following relegation, Wewer met fourth of the parallel relay Rot-Weiß Lennestadt and the penultimate of the Oberliga Westfalen TSG Dülmen . The blue-whites prevailed and made it to the Oberliga Westfalen. This made Blau-Weiß Wewer the sporty number two in the city behind TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus . In the 1994/95 season , the team was able to hold the class as fourth in the table. The externally financed soaring of the club collapsed a year later . For financial reasons, the board withdrew the team from the league during the season. All games were canceled. For the association league season 1996/97, the team was disqualified. In 2000, the association was finally insolvent and had to be dissolved.
