Blessed by a Broken Heart (short: BBABH) was a six-piece metal band from Montreal (Canada). The band was founded in 2003. They were signed to Century Media Records and Tooth & Nail Records .

Band history

The first album All's Fair in Love and War by Blessed by a Broken Heart was released in 2004 by Blood & Ink Records and was assigned to the metalcore genre. Since then the musical direction of the band has changed a lot towards 80's / Hair Metal / Pop. This change of style was driven by the guitarist Shred Sean, who joined the band in 2005.

After a tour in late 2006, singer Jon Cline left the band, he replaced Tony Gambino. In January 2007 the band signed with Century Media . They then retired to the studio to record Pedal to the Metal with producer GGGarth . The rest of the year the band toured the US with The Devil Wears Prada , A Day to Remember and My Children My Bride , on a second tour they were accompanied by It Dies Today , Silent Civilian and Bring Me the Horizon .

In 2006 BBABH were in Europe for the first time; their headlining tour played with British band Enter Shikari was sold out. At the beginning of 2008 the band was again on a European tour, on which they were accompanied by Bring Me the Horizon, Architects , Maroon and in England by Azriel . After the European tour in early 2008, the two long-time band members Robbie Hart (rhythm guitar) and Simon Foxx (keyboard) left the band. The second studio album Pedal to the Metal was released on August 18, 2008 in Europe and on September 2, 2008 in the USA. The album has eleven regular songs, in the USA a special edition with two bonus songs is sold exclusively through Hot-Topic .

A teaser video was released on June 24, 2011, announcing that the band was now under contract with Tooth and Nail Records and was currently preparing for a new album. Feel the Power was finally released on February 23, 2012. In July of the same year, singer Tony Gambino left the band. Rhythm guitarist Sam Ryder took over the vocals. On September 7, 2013 Sean Maier announced the breakup of the band.
