Blind Justice is an American crime series that started on the US broadcaster ABC in 2005 , but was canceled after only 13 episodes because of disappointing audience ratings. In Germany, the series was broadcast from March 8 to April 28, 2008 on kabel eins .
action
New York detective Jim Dunbar is blind after being shot on duty . Nevertheless, he resumes his duties and proves to be an excellent investigator, even without eyesight, whose other senses, such as hearing and smell, are sharper than those of his colleagues. As the first blind detective in history, he often has to assert himself against the doubts of his colleagues and his wife.
background
With the series New York Cops - NYPD Blue , Steven Bochco had a hit in the early 1990s that was on US TV for over twelve years. Accordingly, high expectations were set in his new series creation, Blind Justice - Investigators with sharpened senses , which, however, could not be fulfilled. The audience numbers remained far below expectations, and so the series was discontinued after only one season (13 episodes).
