The Block Bay is an icy bay east of Guest Peninsula at the Saunders Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . The Adams Rocks are two large pinnacles that tower over the inner section of Block Bay.
The Block Bay was discovered in 1929 during the first Antarctic expedition (1928-1930) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . Byrd named it after the newspaper publisher Paul Block (1877-1941), a sponsor of the research trip.
