Block Lake is a lake on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located west-northwest of the Husvik whaling station in the Karrakatta Valley . The lake was dammed and served as a reservoir for the station.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the lake in 1991 after William Charles Block (* 1937).
