BLOOD is a visual kei group from Japan . The music has different elements and can best be defined as hard rock.

The band members see themselves not only as musicians, but also as artists. Kaede is responsible for the visual aspects, for example, while Kiwamu works both as a graphic designer and as the head of her production company CURE. The two have formed the basic structure of the band since the beginning and, in addition to their third singer Fu-ki, who is now the third permanent member of BLOOD, also work with many guest musicians, so that the line-up can change from song to song.

Band name

The name BLOOD (dt. Blood ) means something like origin or pure blood for the band and also stands for strong feelings. With their music, the band tries to portray the various strong emotions of people.

First epoch

Kiwamu and Kaede founded BLOOD together with their first singer Dai in February 2002 and released two demo tapes that month and the following. In April, Taichi joined the band as a drummer and guitarist who, in addition to programming, also took part in songwriting and music arranging.

After the release of their first maxi single in early August, they were voted number 1 in the rock category on Artist Debut Net before their first live performance on October 3rd at BRAND NEW in Osaka . Takeshi joined the band as the second singer in November. An English version of their website went online that same month. After various concerts and two other single releases, Dai had to leave the band in February 2003 because he did not take his work seriously enough. This was the end of the first epoch, whose works were published in April 2004 on the 1st PERIOD compilation as 1st period BEST + demo tracks .

Second epoch

In addition to the release of the video BLOOD films # 01 in March 2003, BLOOD toured mainly in Japan at the beginning of their second epoch, but also had two appearances in the USA in the summer due to their popularity overseas: On June 20 at the Fanime 2003 Gakufest Con in San Francisco and on July 3 at the 2003 Anime Expo in Los Angeles . In addition to two other demo tapes, in October they released their second video called IN USA ~ infected with BLOOD , on which a video of sweetest disease can be seen in addition to the performances of the two US conventions . Their website was also published in French and Korean in August. On January 24th they gave their third America concert at the Ohayocon 2004 in Ohio . In February they released their first mini-album BLOOD , which was released in addition to the national version as an international and European version, each with a different tracklist. Two days after their first concert in Tokyo , Taichi and Takeshi left the band for reasons that were previously unknown.

Third epoch

In March of this year, Fu-ki, the third and current singer of the band, joined and on April 2nd BLOOD gave their first European concert at Glaz 'Art in Paris . In the same month, the website was also made available to Spanish and Chinese fans in their own language. With BLIND (the title should also represent the band's new motto), the band's fourth single was released on May 30th of this year.

In 2004 BLOOD played on May 29th at the Music Fest of Fanime 2004, at which Duel Juwel was also a guest. In September they took their BLOOD European Oneman TOUR [VENGEANCE for BLOOD] to Germany for the first time. Since the first concert planned in Poland was canceled by the organizer, they started their tour at the ColumbiaClub in Berlin on September 10th, followed by an appearance at the Connichi in Kassel on the 11th and ended their tour at La Boule noir in Paris on the 12th. On the 10th, the second single with Fu-ki THE FUNERAL FOR HUMANITY was released at the same time as the tour started . With their second European tour [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 2] they performed in Warsaw , Lille and Münster . The second album VENGEANCE for BLOOD was then released.

In May BLOOD performed again as the first visual kei band ever in Mexico at the TNT9 convention with their one-man tour [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 3] . With [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 4] followed their first one-man concert in Tokyo at the beginning of July. Shortly afterwards the second mini-album of its third epoch was released: VENGEANCE for BLOOD 2 . Before that the band visited Finland , Sweden , Germany and England on their longest tour [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 5] ~ North Europe Counter Attack ~ . The tour was a complete success: sold out houses in Finland and England, almost all merchandising stocks in Finland and Sweden were already sold and after many problems on previous tours everything went without problems.

The tour ends with the first self-organized event [VENGEANCE for BLOOD Extra] ~ Endless Spiral of Tragedy ~ . In addition to the continuation of their theme, the year 2005 also meant a new release of old pieces in the form of the compilation CDs 1st PERIOD DX and 2nd PERIOD DX . Kiwamu announced that he had joined the band GPKISM. On a US tour they also met their keyboardist Ryo (the tour was called: "Dark Labyrinth Vol. 8"). In November, BLOOD announced another US and Mexico tour called the BLOOD Final Tour: La Fin De Le Journee. GPK and DJ SiSeN accompanied the group on their last tour before they split up. Kaede and Ryo did not take part in the tour. Before the six-concert tour, they released their last album "Lost Sky" on January 28th.
