Blue Ash is a small town northeast of Cincinnati ( Ohio , USA ) with 12,114 inhabitants (2010) . Blue Ash is a twin town of the German city of Ilmenau .
The area of today's Blue Ash was first settled by Europeans in 1791. In the 1880s, the small rural community received a railway connection. The grown place became a city in 1961. The city, which is located on three highways (I-275, I-71 and I-75) and will have an airport until 2012, mainly houses companies. Due to the work-related entry, the number of people in the city increases to around 55,000 during the day.
Businesses in town include Procter & Gamble with multiple facilities. A branch of the University of Cincinnati , Raymond Waters College and several German companies such as Voith Industrial Services or GfK are also located in the city.
