Blue Hill

Blue Hill is a district on St. Helena . At 36.78 square kilometers, it is the largest district in terms of area, but at the same time the least populated with 158 inhabitants (as of 2016).

Blue Hill is located in the west of the island and borders St. Paul's to the northeast and Sandy Bay to the southeast . The main settlement is Blue Hill Village . Another settlement is Head o'Wain .

The district has no particular economic or historical significance. A school in the district was closed in 1990.

Blue Hill is hardly developed for tourism. An eco - resort planned in 2002 was approved in 2012 and 2017, but has not yet been implemented (as of December 2019).
