Half Tree Hollow is a district , settlement, and suburb of Jamestown on St. Helena . With 984 inhabitants (as of 2016) on 1.55 square kilometers , it is both the most populous and by far the most densely populated district on the island. Half Tree Hollow is at the top of the famous Jacob's ladder .

Infrastructure and tourism

Jacob's ladder

Half Tree Hollow has several traveler accommodations and a grocery store with fuel delivery. In addition, there has been a solar farm here since 2015 , which has increased the share of renewable energies in the island's electricity supply from around 22 percent to over 33 percent.

In addition to the Jacob's ladder, the cisterns that were in service until 1950 , the Ladder Hill Fort and the Half Tree Hollow Trail are of particular tourist importance.
