Blunt Force Trauma is the second studio album from Cavalera Conspiracy . It was released on March 29, 2011 by Roadrunner Records .
history
During the creation process of the album, which was mainly re-written by Max Cavalera , he recorded most of the pieces in four-track versions on CD and sent them to his brother Igor Cavalera so that he could familiarize himself with them. Max Cavalera brought further pieces straight to the studio, where they were worked out. Max Cavalera's intention was to make an album with short pieces, which is therefore a mixture of Minor Threat , Slayer and Cavalera Conspiracy. Max Cavalera was very satisfied with the recordings.
Criticism and success
Allmusic's Eduardo Rivadavia wrote that the Cavalera brothers' songwriting genes had surprisingly proven to be "resistant to decay". The album is a "refreshingly brutal" outlet for the brothers' "extreme metal talent". He awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars. The album reached number 45 in the charts in Germany and number 46 in Austria. In the USA it reached number 123.
