Igor Cavalera

Igor Graziano Cavalera (born September 4, 1970 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian drummer. He became known as a member of the metal band Sepultura (Portuguese for grave ), which he founded in 1984 with his brother Max Cavalera . For the 2006 tour, Cavalera was replaced by Roy Mayorga . After this tour, Cavalera dropped out due to artistic differences and Jean Dolabella took his place.

In addition to Sepultura, Cavalera was also employed with another band by his brother, Nailbomb , for which he worked on two albums in the mid-1990s. He was also a guest on Biohazard's albums New World Disorder (1999) and Uncivilization (2001). Cavalera is a hip-hop fan and has worked with the Brazilian rap formation Pavilhão 9 , among others .

Since 2007 Igor Cavalera is again active with his brother Max in a band, Cavalera Conspiracy .

In 1996 he founded the Brazilian fashion label Cavalera .
