Logan Mader (born November 16, 1970 in Montreal ) is a Canadian guitarist , record producer and sound engineer . Mader became known as a founding member and guitarist of Machine Head (1992–1997, 2019/2020) and through his brief stint at Soulfly (1998–1999).

Career

Mader was one of the founding members of Machine Head in 1992 and played on the first two albums of the band Burn My Eyes and The More Things Change… . Seven years later he left Machine Head in an argument. This has now been added. Logan Mader and original drummer Chris Kontos are part of the jubilee world tour for the 25th anniversary of the album Burn My Eyes 2019/2020 . Mader also recorded a new version of the album "live" in the studio together with Kontos, Robb Flynn and Jared MacEachern .

After leaving Machine Head in 1998, Mader joined Soulfly and can be heard on their self-titled debut album. After various disagreements with the head of the band Max Cavalera he left Soulfly after a short time and subsequently founded the band Medication with his friend Whitfield Crane (ex- Ugly Kid Joe ) . This dissolved again after an EP released in 2002 and an album in 2003.

In the same year Mader founded the group Stereo Black, which until now has only appeared in the context of film and computer game soundtracks . Mader can be heard on the song The End on the anniversary album Roadrunner United , and as part of this project he also produced all the pieces that were written under the direction of Dino Cazares .

Mader then concentrated on his work as a music producer and sound engineer and has since been responsible for various, in some cases very successful, metal albums .

In September 2015 the debut album of his new metal project Once Human was released via earMUSIC , two years later the band's second album Evolution was released.
