Incite is a thrash metal band from Phoenix , Arizona that was formed in 2004.
history
Incite was founded in 2004 by Richie Cavalera, the stepson of Cavalera-Conspiracy- / Soulfly- singer Max Cavalera . Since its inception, the band has played at shows by the band Soulfly every now and then. The band broke up again and again over the course of a few years. In 2007 the band was brought back to life with Richie Cavalera as singer, Zak as drummer, Dis on electric guitar and Luis Marrufo on electric bass. Richie Cavalera was already on Inflikted , Cavalera Conspiracy's debut album, as a guest vocalist on a song. Together with bands like Cavalera Conspiracy, Throwdown and Dillinger Escape Plan they toured the USA and Europe together in 2008 . This made Logan Mader (Ex- Machine Head / Soulfly) aware of the band and they produced the first EP Divided We Fail , which was limited to 4,500 copies.
Due to the success of this EP, the label I Scream Records became aware of the band and reached a contract with them. In 2009 the first album called The Slaughter was recorded. In 2012 the second album All Out War followed via Minushead Records .
style
The band plays a modern version of Thrash Metal, occasionally using influences from Hardcore Punk . In addition to bands like Sepultura and Cavalera Conspiracy, the group can be compared to Hatesphere and DevilDriver .
