Bni Drar ( Arabic بني درار) is a city with about 10,000 inhabitants in the province of Oujda-Angad in the Oriental region in north-eastern Morocco .
Location and climate
Bni Drar is located about 5 km west of the Algerian border and about 20 km north of the city of Oujda . The coastal town of Saidia on the Mediterranean coast is about 45 km north. The climate is dry to temperate; Rain (approx. 345 mm / year) falls predominantly in the winter half-year. Oujda-Angads International Airport is about 10 km south.
population
The population growth in previous years is largely due to the immigration of Berber families from the surrounding area. Moroccan Arabic is mainly spoken .
economy
Today the city is characterized by retail trade, handicrafts and service companies of all kinds. The numerous meat restaurants attract tourists from Oujda, Berkane and Ahfir .
