Božena Benešová

Božena Benešová , née Božena Zapletalová , (born November 30, 1873 in Neutitschein , † April 8, 1936 in Prague ) was a Czech writer. She spent most of her life in Uherské Hradiště and Napajedla , where she got married. In 1908 she moved to Prague. She represented a psychological prose that met bourgeois (family) life with skepticism and irony. Your characters struggle with loneliness and selfishness. Most of them are young people from the city. The works of Růžena Svobodová had a great influence on Benešová's work . In addition to prose works, she also published a volume of poetry.
