Bo Reicke

Bo Ivar Reicke (born July 31, 1914 in Stockholm , † May 17, 1987 in Basel ) was a Swedish Protestant theologian and New Testament scholar.

Life

He graduated from the University of Uppsala in 1938 as a candidate Philosophy and 1941 as a candidate Theology . That year he was also ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sweden . He received his doctorate in theology in 1946 and became an associate professor in Uppsala. From 1953 to 1984 he was Professor of the New Testament at the University of Basel . He found his final resting place in the Wolfgottesacker cemetery in Basel.
