Robert Howe (tennis player)
Robert "Bob" Howe (born August 3, 1925 in Sydney , † November 30, 2004 in Santa Ana ) was an Australian tennis player .
He won four Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles in his career . In 1958 he won the Australian Championships with Mary Bevis Hawton and at Wimbledon with Lorraine Coghlan . He won the French championships two more times : in 1960 with Maria Bueno and in 1962 with Renée Schuurman .
In the men's doubles, Bob Howe reached the final at Grand Slams three times between 1958 and 1961 with changing partners. He won a total of 18 doubles titles in his career and in 1977 reached 12th place in the world doubles ranking.
He died in Santa Ana on November 30, 2004 .
