Bob Veith (born November 1, 1926 in Tulare , † March 29, 2006 in Santa Rosa ) was an American racing car driver .
Career
Bob Veith drove between 1955 and 1968 in the AAA National Series and its successor, the USAC series . The American competed 63 times and placed 37 in the top ten. However, it was never enough to win. Two second places are the best placements.
He competed eleven times in the Indianapolis 500 . He was in the top ten three times. In 1958, the race ended for him after just one lap. Veith was involved in the mass accident in which Pat O'Connor was killed. Since the 500 miles were part of the Formula 1 world championship from 1950 to 1960 , Veith also took part in five world championship races.
