history
Bollmora was originally an estate around which a village was formed until the 1950s. The boom came in the 1960s after a law ( Lex Bollmora ) was passed that allowed real estate companies in one municipality to build in another. Stockholm companies then began to build new development areas. In 1992 a roofed shopping center ( Tyresö Centrum ) with a library and other cultural facilities was inaugurated.
