Boris Hüttenbrenner (born September 23, 1985 in Mautern in Styria ) is a former Austrian football player on the position of midfielder .
Career
Hüttenbrenner began his career with the youth teams of SV Union Mautern , which he left in 2001. After a short time he moved to DSV Leoben in the Red Zac First League . After 128 games and 16 goals for Leoben , he made his way to Kapfenberg , not far away, during the summer break before the 2008/09 season , where he was accepted by the promoted team in the Austrian Bundesliga , Kapfenberger SV . On August 29, 2008, Hüttenbrenner made his Bundesliga debut when he came on for Michael Liendl in the 89th minute of the game between Kapfenberger SV and SCR Altach . The Falcons just won this home game 3-2.
In autumn 2011 he lost his regular seat under the new coach Thomas von Heesen and in February 2012, after 89 Bundesliga games for Kapfenberger SV, he moved to SK Austria Klagenfurt in the Regionalliga Mitte.
After a year in the regional league, he returned to the Bundesliga in January 2013 and moved to Wolfsberger AC . He ended his career after the 2017/18 season.
