Boris Hillen (born April 12, 1968 in Neuwied ) is a German writer .

life and work

Hillen, born in Neuwied in 1968, first worked as a baker, printer and model after graduating from high school and doing community service. He then studied sport, German and philosophy in Giessen . After completing his studies, he wrote texts for an advertising agency in Cologne. After a long stay abroad, he now works as a teacher at the grammar school of the Schillerschule in Frankfurt am Main

His first novel with the title Mohnzeit was published in 1998. His second book Germ cells , published in 2003, is a biological science fiction that critically reflects on the question of the complete decoding of the human genome and is based on the breadth and tradition of philosophical science fiction with works moved by authors such as Rainer Erler , Aldous Huxley , Robert Sheckley and TC Boyle . In April 2015, Hillen's novel Agfa Leverkusen was published by S. Fischer Verlag .

Hillen now lives in Frankfurt am Main.
