Boris Kuznetsov ( Russian Борис Кузнецов ; * 1985 in Moscow ) is a Russian-German classical pianist . In addition to playing solo , Boris Kuznetsov is intensively involved with chamber music and song accompaniment .

Life

Boris Kuznetsov began playing the piano at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow at the age of five. A few years later he continued his training in Germany. In 1998 Boris Kuznetsov became a young student at the Hanover University of Music and Drama with Heidi Köhler . Since 2004 he has been studying in Bernd Goetzke's piano class . At the same time, he is completing his training by studying song accompaniment with Jan Philip Schulze .

His performances have already taken him to the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt and the Berlin Philharmonic .

Since 2011, Kuznetsov has been teaching piano masterclasses at the International Music Academy for Soloists (IMAS) at Bückeburg Castle .

Awards

Boris Kuznetsov has won several national and international music competitions . He received first prizes at the Steinway competition in Hamburg and Berlin , a sponsorship award at the International Competition for Young Pianists in Ettlingen , numerous prizes at the national youth music competition and first prize at the Concorso Musicale Internazionale “Riviera del Conero” in Italy.

In March 2009 Boris Kuznetsov won the German Music Competition Prize and the Erika Claussen Special Prize. Also in 2009 he won the 2nd prize at the Kissinger Piano Olympics . For the 2010/2011 season he was included in the "Federal Selection of Concerts of Young Artists" of the German Music Council .

Scholarships

Boris Kuznetsov is a fellow of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation , the Robert Bosch Foundation , the Foundation Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now , the German Music Foundation and the Scholarship Foundation of the German People .
