Boryssiwka ( Ukrainian Борисівка ; Russian Борисовка Borissowka ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 530 inhabitants (2001).
Boryssiwka is located in the north of Kharkiv Raion 47 km northeast of the Kharkiv Oblast center directly on the Russian-Ukrainian border and administratively belongs to the Lukjanzi district municipality ( Лук'янці ).
Personalities
The Ukrainian ethnographer, historian and lexicographer Dmytro Jawornyzkyj was born in the village in 1855 .
