The Bosman Express was a hydrofoil that operated on the ferry route between the port cities of Szczecin and Swinoujscie on the island of Usedom in Poland .

history

The ship was built in 1993 under the name Metor 2 at the Zelenodolsk shipyard in Novgorod for the Saint Petersburg port company . In 1994 it was sold to the Dutch shipping company E. Heijmen, which renamed the ship Flying Dutchman . In 2005 it was sold to the Dutch WA Witjes Beheer BV, which continued to operate it under that name until 2008.

In 2008 the ship went to the Polish shipping company Adler- Schiff Polska, which belongs to the Sylter shipping company Adler- Schiff . At the same time it was named Bosman Express . At the beginning of 2015, the Bosman Express was sold to Euroship Service in Szczecin. The ferry line runs twice a day from May to October between the Hakenterrasse not far from the port of Szczecin and the Swinoujscie city port. The hydrofoil was built in the years 1992–1993 in the Gorki shipyard in St. Petersburg and has a top speed of 30  knots (approx. 55 km / h) on the route across the Oder and the Szczecin Lagoon .

The connection was discontinued in 2015.
