The Bossower See is a 55-hectare lake in the Bossow district of the city of Krakow am See in the Rostock district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ).
The Bossower See is surrounded by coniferous forest, in the Bossower Forest at an altitude of 48.6 m above sea level. NHN. To the west, the Güstrow – Meyenburg railway line passes nearby, to the east is the federal highway 103 , behind which lies the shore of Lake Krakow, 530 meters from Lake Bossower . Its greatest north-south extension is 1000 meters, the west-east 750 meters. Tributaries form small ditches that drain the surrounding area. To the east, the water flows into the Krakower See.
The lake and its surroundings are part of the FFH area Nebeltal with tributaries, connected lakes and adjacent forests .
