The Bouncing Souls are a Founded in 1987, from New Jersey native punk rock - band . The group changed their style over the years.

Band history

The name of the band is a play on words with the description of the "Bouncing Soles" of Dr. Martens manufactured shoes. The group had no prospect of a record deal for a long time after their formation, which is why they founded their own label Chunksaah Records in 1993 . In 1994 they released their debut album there, the following year they received a contract with the independent label BYO Records , which re-released the first album. The successor also appeared there in 1996. For their third album, which was released in 1997, they switched to today's biggest punk label , Epitaph Records , where all other studio albums have been released since then. In 1999 there was a line-up change when drummer Shal Khichi dropped out due to differences and was replaced by Michael McDermott. In 2002 the band released a split CD together with Anti-Flag , which in turn was released by BYO. In 2013 Michael McDermott left the band to pursue other musical interests. The place on the drums was taken over by Hot-Water-Music - and Against-Me! -Drummer George Rebelo busy.
