geography

Ferring is located in north-west Denmark, about halfway between Nissum Fjord and Limfjord on the North Sea coast . The hilly landscape falls directly on the outskirts in a steep coast towards the beach, the only place in Denmark where a geological cross-section of the ice age layers of the last two ice ages can be found. Lake Ferring Sø is just north of the village . The area is particularly characterized by many individual farms, the next small contiguous settlements are Trans and Fjaltring in the south, Dybe in the southeast and the holiday home area Vejlby Klit in the north.
