The Bowers Peak is a 2,140 m high mountain , which at the Bowers Mountains in northern Victoria Land belongs. It rises up there on the watershed between the Hunter Glacier and the Hoshko Glacier in the Lanterman Range .
The northern group of a campaign carried out from 1963 to 1964 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after Lieutenant John M. Bowers Jr., who carried out supply flights for the research trip as a member of the United States Navy's VX-6 flight squadron.
