Boxing African Championships 2017

The 19th AIBA African Elite Boxing Championships 2017 took place from June 17th to 25th in Brazzaville , the capital of the Republic of the Congo . 190 male and 51 female boxers from 31 nations were entered. All 40 men's medal winners also qualified to take part in the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg .

The start date was initially planned for May 27, but this date was postponed by the African association AFBC to June 17 in order to ensure the high standards of such a prestigious competition.
