The Braker Sieltief is a watercourse in the Wesermarsch district in Lower Saxony . It is a depression that drains the predominantly boggy area.

The approximately 9 km long watercourse flows in the municipality of Ovelgönne and the city of Brake . It arises on the sluice in Süder-Frieschenmoor , about 2.5 km northwest of Ovelgönne, from the Dornebbe on the L863 near Neustadt . This in turn is fed from a large number of trenches. The Braker Sieltief flows in a south-easterly direction around Ovelgönne, crosses the federal highway 212 and then crosses Brake to flow into the Weser as a left tributary in the same port area .
Protection status
Most of the Braker Sieltief lies in the FFH and landscape protection area " Dornebbe, Braker Sieltief and Colmarer Tief ".
