Brandon Seabrook (* around 1984) is an American jazz guitarist and banjo player .

Live and act

Seabrook, who studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston, has worked with Paul Brody ( Beyond Babylon ), Peter Evans , Ben Allison , Eivind Opsvik , in Gerald Cleaver's band Black Host and with the formation Mostly Other People Do the Killing since the 2000s .

In the Seabrook Power Plant trio , he plays tenor banjo with his brother Jared and bassist Tom Blancarte . In 2014 New Atlantis Records released its first solo album entitled Sylphid Vitalizers . In 2017 he released the debut album of his trio Needle Driver with Allison Miller on drums and Johnny DeBlase on bass.

He also worked with Anthony Braxton , Elliott Sharp , Tomas Fujiwara ( Triple Double , 2016), Harris Eisenstadt ( Recent Developments , 2017) and Joey Arias and was on a European tour with The Jazz Passengers . In 2013 he was a member of Gerald Cleaver's quintet Black Host . In the field of jazz he was involved in 70 recording sessions between 2003 and 2020. Village Voice voted him "New York's Best Guitarist" in 2012.
