Branko Dolhar (born February 2, 1949 in Ljubljana ) is a former Yugoslav ski jumper and current ski jumping official.
Career
Dolhar made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1968/69 . After a 61st place on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf , he reached 39th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . After two further top 50 placements in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen , he finished 43rd in the tour's overall ranking. It should be the best result of his career.
At the Four Hills Tournament 1969/70 he only managed to make it into the top 50 twice. At the end of the tour, he was 51st overall. After a sharp drop in performance with only 71st place in the overall ranking at the Four Hills Tournament 1970/71, Dolhar paused for two years and he was able to increase his results slightly at the Four Hills Tournament 1973/74 and ended up in 56th place overall. At the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 he managed to jump back into the top 40 for the first time since 1968 in Bischofshofen on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze . In the overall standings, he only missed the placements from 1969 by two places and finished 45th.
In the following year he missed a further increase in performance at the Four Hills Tournament 1975/76 . After only three competitions he broke off the tour as 80th in the overall ranking. Despite this failure, Dolhar was part of the squad for the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck . There he jumped 42nd place on the normal and the large hill.
In his last Four Hills Tournament in 1976/77 he was able to show good performances again and achieved the best individual result of his career in the tour with rank 26 in Bischofshofen.
After the end of his active career, Dolhar began his career as a functionary and is now chairman of the organizing committee in Planica .
