The Brauerei Königshof GmbH was founded in August 2003 and is based in the Krefeld district of Fischeln an der Obergath. In 2009, around 400,000 hectoliters were brewed and bottled in Königshof. The Königshof brewery produces various commercial beer brands, as well as the Original Königshofer premium brand since September 2007 and its own entry -level brand Brauerei Königshof Biere since September 2008 . Gaffel Kölsch is also bottled as a service provider.
history
After the brewing and delivery rights of the Altbierbrauerei Rhenania had been sold to the Krombacher brewery , the former management decided to close the Rhenania brewery on the Obergath. The brewery was then to be dismantled stone by stone in Krefeld and rebuilt in Algeria . To prevent this, the former technical director of the Rhenania brewery took the initiative and was able to win an entrepreneur friend of mine as an investor for the brewery. Since August 2003 the Obergath has been brewing again, initially with 11 employees, today with 78 (as of 2019). On September 4, 2007, the brewery presented its first own premium brand, Original Königshofer, with the varieties Alt and Pils. The Königshof brewery brand has been manufactured in the entry-level segment since 2008 . The range includes the varieties Alt , Pils , Export , Wheat, Radler and Malt.
Since August 2011, the Baltika 3 variety has been produced for Baltika Germany , bottled and distributed in Central Europe from Krefeld for several years . In addition, Urfels Alt and Pils are produced and bottled for the Urfels brewery, two types of draft beer are brewed for the Dutch region and three beers (Pils, Alt, Export) for Netto .
Hannen
After a test phase from autumn 2005 to February 2006, the Königshof brewery also brewed the Hannen Alt and Gatzweilers Alt (Gatz) products. The then Hannen-Brauerei GmbH sells Hannen and Gatzweilers beers as well as other Carlsberg products and moved its administration to Obergath on December 1, 2005 after the Mönchengladbach location was given up and taken over by Oettinger . Since May 2, 2006, Hannen has had its own logistics center with a 2,200 square meter hall on the grounds of the Königshof brewery for a good two years. In July 2008, however, the administration moved back to the previous location in Mönchengladbach-Neuwerk.
