The former brewery Zum golden Hirsch was located in Weimersheim , Weimersheimer Ring 25 , in the Weißenburg district . The brewery is also known as the Hörnlein Brewery .

history

Little research has been done on the history of the brewery, but what is certain is that the landlord Paulus Mosner stated in 1808 that he took it over from his father in 1798. Subsequently, Christian Kirchdorfer ran the brewery. In 1866 it was taken over by his son-in-law Johann Paulus Hörnlein from Trommetsheim. His son Karl Hörnlein followed in 1893 and his son Ludwig Hörnlein in 1920. From 1936 Ludwig Hörnlein's widow ran the brewery until she finally took over her son Ludwig in 1953. In addition to the Sigwart brewery and the Schneider brewery, the Hörnlein brewery supplied the annual parish fair in Weißenburg from 1987 to 1991 with festival beer.

Summer cellar

From 1823 there was a working summer cellar , the cellar house was demolished in 1913.
