Bravo annual charts 1965
Bravo annual charts 1965
In 1965, beat music finally caught on with Bravo readers . In September 1965, German television broadcast the Beat Club for the first time . In the years that followed, this music program had a major impact on the musical tastes of the young audience and, of course, on the Bravo readers as well. Five English-language titles alone made it into the top 10. The Beatles landed the most hits this year, like almost everywhere else in the world. In addition to Rock and Roll Music at number 1 and Help! in fourth place were I Feel Fine and Ticket to Ride in the back seats . The Stones were also successful for the first time and from now on split the readers and listeners into Stones - and Beatles fans. Il Silenzio in 6th place was a pure trumpet piece without singing, only three lines of spoken text. Petula Clark became the most successful singer with her evergreen Downtown . The hit music was represented most successfully by the newcomer of the year, Roy Black . He experienced his breakthrough that year and became the most successful German pop singer in the next few years. The Winnetou films also put the French actor Pierre Brice in the charts, although he almost only breathed his lyrics into the microphone.
In the number 1/1966, the German youth magazine BRAVO published the 20 most successful pop songs of 1965 in its hit list Musicbox. For the first time, the determined points were given. In his brochure Die Bravo-musicbox under the title Die Hits des Jahres 1965, a list of the 20 most successful songs was also compiled after evaluating the weekly music boxes using a point system.
