Bravo annual charts 1974

The Sweet have finally established themselves as the most popular glam rock band in Germany and occupy first place in the charts and in the Otto election. One of the biggest hits of the year was once again two mayflies : The Canadian Terry Jacks took third place with the English-language cover version of the French chanson Le Moribond by Jacques Brel . George McCrae landed the summer hit with his clearly ambiguous rock Your Baby . The Eurovision Song Contest , however, has never shaped the history of pop music as much as it did this year and gave birth to the winner ABBA from Sweden, the most successful pop band of the next ten years. Waterloo reached number 7.
