action
Gina works at TÜV in Hamburg. There is a crisis in her relationship with friend Karl. When he asks her to become his wife, she separates from him. When looking for a new apartment, she uses a number of tricks at the first viewing appointment in order to outperform all other interested parties. In the process, she meets Harry, a little English man with walking difficulties who is in the queue, whom she immediately passes off as her sterile husband in order to convince the landlord that the supposed couple will not have any children. Gina gets the apartment and Harry insists on getting at least one room for the help. The two come to an agreement, with Gina resolving to disgust the roommate out of the apartment as quickly as possible.
Harry, who is a pyromaniac, sets off several small room fires in the apartment while they are together, which he quickly gets under control. When Gina realizes that she can't get Harry out of the apartment, he suddenly moves in with a friend. One evening she sits alone on the bed, lights a cigarette, stares at the flame of the lighter - and holds it to the covers. Harry comes by just in time to pick up his things. Together they put out the room fire. Then the two become a couple.
Reviews
"Mostly charming comedy that gets its charm from the confrontation of two different characters."
